software is about to be installed and so forth

Type it in, and you'll be there in seconds. It's faster. Both on my fairly pimped out desktop system and mobile laptop, Vista runs fast and smoothly.Just to give you an idea, my desktop has 2GBs of RAM and my laptop 1GB.Vista is obviously faster on my desktop, but even on my laptop, it feels faster and more efficient than XP did.I chalk this up to the new SuperFetch technology, which, if you don't know, basically keeps certain bits and pieces of software that you regularly use in memory, that way, when you boot them, they load extra fast.More secure.Vista is much, much more security-intensive than XP.The UAC (User Account Control) will prompt you every time a system file is about to be changed, software is about to be installed and so forth. And, of course, if you don't like this added level of security, you can disable UAC, allowing you to destroy system files without seeing any warnings that you're about to seriously eff-up your machine.Things I don't like about VistaCurrent game performance.I am not a big PC FIFA gamer, but I do play World of Warcraft (specifically, I am playing Burning Crusade lately), and that game doesn't run as well on Vista as it did on XP"at least not right now. This will change, however, so it'll soon enough be water under the bridge.I am hoping that the next drivers from ATI offer performance more up to par to recent XP drivers, and I think that even if they don't, things will only get better from here on out. It's really a waiting game at this point. That noted, World of Warcraft still runs well enough on my machine, but I am a bit of a snob, so the moment I notice framerate slowdown, I have to exaggerate a bit and make a big deal about it.The sluggish revamped All Programs folder. In Windows XP, you press the start button, hover with your mouse over All Programs and the screen will load a list of your program files.Vista introduces a more space-conscious solution that doesn't take up your whole screen, and while I like this change, it's currently http://www.safefifa16coins.com a bit laggy. It's just not as fast as the old-school Windows approach. It's more of a pet peeve at this point, however, because thanks to search, I will never use this route to find my programs and applications ever again.Should you get it?That's the question, now isn't it? Before I can answer this, I have to say that as a person who uses my computer for mostly work-related purposes"word processing, video crunching, video capturing, screen processing and so forth"along with general Internet use, I am very satisfied with Vista.I am thoroughly happy I upgraded, and most importantly, I don't regret the upgrade one bit. However, I would say that if you're a huge PC FIFA gamer and use your PC for mostly gaming, upgrading to Vista now isn't going to do you a whole lot of good.Game performance is completely acceptable"it's actually great"but it's still beat by XP thanks to better driver support. So, if you're a FIFA gamer, wait for newer drivers, which will be coming in the approaching months.
